CPU Plate

CPU Plate Made from tough yet tactile Polyurethane, our CPU Plate is designed to stand up to the toughest lifting environments: Our plates have been drop tested over 40,000 times, so we know they’re tough. Featuring solid colour coded non-scratch Pu with a central steel ring to aid the long life of the plate. All plates are 45cm in diameter with a 51mm hole and are calibrated within +/- 2% of specified weight.
Urethane is a completely different material from rubber, and offers several advantages compared to rubber.

It is more fracture resistant, meaning the plates resist fatigue a lot longer than a traditional rubber bumper plate.
Urethane compresses better than rubber but flexes less, so especially for thinner bumpers, they have the resilience of a bumper but don’t wobble or flex as much when dropped.

Urethane with its high durometer rating produces a consistent dead bounce.
Most importantly, these plates yield extremely low bounce which ensures maximum safety for athletes. The low bounce of our fitmus Urethane Plates helps you minimise this risk to keep your athletes and equipment safe.
